Announcing… I Am Now A Published Author!

Finally! I move from being a writer to a published author! What a joy to see my name on a beautifully designed book cover! I can finally offer my completed adventure/action book to the public after five years in the making.

This book, for ages 8-14, tells of a young man’s struggle with guilt and feelings of inadequacies as he searches for ways to cope with his new life on an island where he now lives with his estranged grandfather, a lighthouse keeper. Besides this uncomfortable situation, a bully at school intimidates Heath, and pressure from his basketball coach adds more tense to his life. His only friend, ZZ, brings some fun into Heath’s day, but he talks too much about his faith. Heath wants ZZ to keep that part of his personality to himself.

A lack of confidence and guilt over his parent’s deaths create tension throughout his life on the island, but his greatest challenge presents itself during a violent storm and other’s lives are suddenly at risk. Will he finally step up and overcome his fear of inadequacy, or will he fail again?

This book called, Finding Heath Young Lighthouse Keeper, published through WestBow Press, is available on, Barnes and Noble, Kindle, Nook, etc. The book comes in hardbound, soft cover, and e-readers. Pre-sales and orders are welcome. Contact me through my personal website for more information:

About thehopebeacon

Wecome to my blog! I am a Christian wife, mother, and grandmother who wants to share my lifetime experiences with those who share the same interests and roles. I served as an educator for twenty-one years as both a classroom teacher and an Instructional Services Consultant. Most recently I chose to write children's books. This new path as an author led me to create this website. I seek to inspire, uplift, encourage, and advise those who come here who share common interests or life experiences as myself.
